Systems and Software
Read about the tools and technologies developed by the eScholarship Research Centre (eSRC) and it's predecessor organisations the Australian Science and Technology and Heritage Centre (Austehc) and the Australian Science Archives Project (ASAP):-
- Online Heritage Resource Manager (OHRM) - a context based resource discovery and access system that links creators, archival and heritage resources and published materials within the one system.
- Heritage Documentation Management System (HDMS) - used by the Centre to manage its archival and artefactual documentation projects. A recent development includes an automated HTML and EAD finding aid generator to make the Web publication of guides to collections easier.
- Web Academic Resource Publisher (WARP) - a database tool which enables the scholarly web publication of reference texts. Promoting more than just online reproduction of texts, the WARP facilitates the creation of a knowledge space which becomes a research tool from which new connections, insights and ideas can be discovered and explored.
- Archival Imaging for Access (AIFA) - The primary goal of this method is to capture images of archival originals in the most efficient and cost effective way, process the captured output and produce web deliverable images for public use. Thus the primary aim recommended here is digitisation for access.
