- History, the Archives and New Technologies: Developing the Australian Women's Archives Project (2008 - )
Using resources for Australian women's history, this project will develop an innovative working model of a federated information architecture that supports scholarly practice in the digital era. The key driving principles will be persistence, sustainability and re-use. The model will demonstrate the harvesting of research data into a variety of resource description frameworks, such as the People Australia Portal, to improve the discoverability and accessibility of source material. The project brings together a multi-disciplinary research team of scholars with a range of skills across the subject domain and in the emerging field of digital scholarship, and includes stakeholders representing researcher, repository and community interests.
This collaborative project used the Online Heritage Resource Manager (OHRM) as the underpinning technology in a major Australian Research Council funded project.
